Data Protection and General Data Protection Regulation
The employer may need to register with the Information Commissioners’ Office (ICO) that they are processing personal data. Further information on this requirement is available from the ICO. In order to comply with UK requirements and the General Data Protection Regulation (known as GDPR) there will need to be a Data Processor Agreement in place between the employer and PayrollOffice.UK / Payroll Check. We will provide information on this as part of the on-boarding process.
When we send payroll data (payslips, reports etc) by email we 'lock' the documents using a secure password. A different password is used for each client, the password is advised to clients as part of the on-boarding service. Clients will need to install software in order to unlock files.
